This guide is going to teach you how to increase your vertical jump in the least amount of time. If you follow these strategies, you can't go wrong!
1) Running. Short sprints have been shown increase jump height. Just keep the sprints shorter than 30 yards. Vice versa: Increasing your vertical jump also improves your running speed!
2) Squats. Increase your leg strength with this powerful exercise. Just make sure you do it right (knees should be directly vertical from your feet, do not bend your knees forward. All of the power should come from the hips)
3) Calf raises. Stand on a step with heels of the foot hanging off the edge a couple inches. Extend your calves to raise to tip-toes. This strengthens the calf muscle which is an important aspect of being able to jump high.
4) Plyometrics. Jump onto a box that is elevated as much from the ground until you can barely jump onto it 15 times. Jump on this 15 times, plyometrics is probably the best method to increase your jumping. Just make sure you stay safe.
That's it! Stay safe and have fun!
